muzzle

recently two films released in india experiencd great labour pains. Black Friday because of its commendable exploration of the events leading upto the 1993 bomb blasts in mumbai and Parzania, dealing with a Parsi couple's search for their lost son during the post-godhra riots.

it took more than 2 years for the films to find the darkness of the theaters and Parzania still is a pariah in Gujarat where the original riots took place. why rake up the past some sane citizens nonchalantly asked. the riots are over, the dead have been buried. people will only get hurt seeing these images on the big screen.

well, all one can say is grow up. switch on your television, men and women of the 21st century and witness the most brazen cannibalization in mankind. all news channels are full of it. you watch it immune in the glaring lights of your living room.

probably the darkness in the cinema hall will give you the loneliness to see, hear and shed a few tears. there where the remote is not available to switch off your conscience.
